The second session of the public lecture series “Building the Future through Multicultural Education: Toward a Coexistent World” was held on April 25, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the First Conference Room, Faculty of Education Main Building, at Kyoto University’s Yoshida Campus.

We were honored to welcome Professor Misako Nukaga from the Graduate School of Education at the University of Tokyo as our guest lecturer.

In addition to Professor Nukaga, two members of this project also gave presentations under the following titles (in order of presentation, titles omitted):

  • Yoshimi Okumura (Associate Professor, Graduate School of Education) and Akane Tano (Educational Methodology): Examining Individualized and Personalized Education Aimed at the Inclusion of Diverse Learners
  • Misako Nukaga (Professor, Graduate School of Education, The University of Tokyo): Considering Educational Opportunities and the Guarantee of Well-Being for Children of Immigrants

The event was held in a hybrid format, with many participants joining both in person and online. Through the lectures and active discussions among participants, the session proved to be a highly meaningful and insightful opportunity for shared learning.
