On May 27, 2025, Lecturer Juna Park delivered a lecture at the Division of Environmental Science & Engineering at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) (https://dese.postech.ac.kr/welcomeeng.do). The lecture, titled “Environmental Issues from a Psychological Perspective: Challenges and Possibilities in East Asia,” introduced psychological approaches to understanding climate change and environmental awareness. It explored how social and cultural factors specific to the East Asian context influence environmentally conscious behavior.
More than 40 participants, including both undergraduate and graduate students majoring in engineering and science, as well as international students, attended the session. The lecture was followed by a lively discussion, which generated many thought-provoking questions and comments.
The event underscored the growing importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing global challenges. We look forward to further exchange and cooperation through this project in the future.
